'005' for India at BGT as Australian pacers shock top order at Perth Test

India and Australia are playing the first test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Perth and the Kangaroo pacers are proving to be dangerous for the Indian batters. After winning the toss, stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah opted to bat first. However, a young Yashasvi Jaiswal mistimed Starc and returned to the pavilion for a duck.

Devdutt Paddikal, who is also a less experienced red ball player managed to block over 20 deliveries but fell to Hazlewood for a zero. Virat Kohli, a seasoned player and danger for Australian bowlers also couldn't do much. Hazlewood's pitch gained extra bounce and caught the leading edge of Kohli's bat. Kolhi fell for 5 resulting in a big blow to the batting order. At the time of Virat Kohli's wicket, India was struggling at 32-3.

After facing a frustrating defeat by New Zealand in the recent test series, the Indian team was under fire from fans for not playing as per conditions. They were especially criticized for the 46-all out during the first innings of the first test match.
